二、同是PA11，价差凭什么这么大
PA11的价格差，主要藏在四个地方。

Four factors: (1) Feedstock — PA11 is polymerized from 11-aminoundecanoic acid derived from castor oil; bio-based feedstock costs more than petroleum-based nylon, and castor-oil price swings directly move PA11 prices. (2) Purity — general is cheap; food/medical grades cost more; transparent grades need special processing and cost most. (3) Application — injection is cheap, extrusion mid-range, powder coating higher, transparent highest. (4) Brand and origin — Arkema is the only commercial-scale PA11 producer globally, so its market position keeps prices high; domestic supply is limited.
3. Procurement pitfalls
The cheapest material often fails on purity or food-grade compliance, causing returns. Three traps to avoid:
First, test melt flow index and density against the COA instead of trusting the grade name. Second, watch for substitution: some traders sell PA12 as PA11 or general as food-grade; demand the COA, food-contact certification and original packaging. Third, calculate total cost: A at CNY 80/kg with a 5% defect rate vs. B at CNY 135/kg with 1% — B is cheaper per part.
4. Standard grades not enough? Consider modified compounds
